Bahrain: A Tortuous Process

In early May, when the U.S. government had said little to criticize the violent crackdown against pro- democracy protests in Bahrain, Human Rights First embarked on a fact-finding mission to document the violence and provide recommendations to the U.S. and Bahraini governments. We released our findings and recommendations in a report entitled Bahrain: Speaking Softly. Some of the earlier report‟s recommendations to the U.S. government have been enacted in part or in whole.
