As a “court of last resort,” the International Criminal Court plays an essential role in providing accountability for war crimes, genocide, and crimes against humanity in more than 120 countries. Having campaigned for the court’s creation in the 1990s, Human Rights First now works with civil society partners to encourage governments to support the ICC’s important work and to defend it from attack.
