Event Details

Human Rights First Innovation Lab is excited to announce our first-ever Hackathon: Code the Vote.

Code the Vote aims to crowdsource innovative solutions to increase confidence in our elections in this existential moment, while also engaging the next generation of young technologists we need in the broader, longer fight for human rights and democracy.

Given the threats of misinformation, foreign interference, and the growing movement of anti-democratic extremism in the US, maintaining the integrity of our 2024 elections is a challenge that demands the time, attention, and resources of the technology sector.

Join us in person at Howard University this June, or join a remote team to participate live during the challenge. Current undergraduate or graduate students, or recent graduates are encouraged to sign up and create interdisciplinary teams of technologist and social scientists.

To participate, learn more about the challenge and sign-up today!
