Virtual - Zoom

Event Details

This month’s webinar centers around the release of the comprehensive report “Hidden Harm: Ukraine Confronts Psychological Cost of War“. Our conversation will feature the report’s authors, Senior Advisor Brian Dooley and Human Rights Investigations Researcher Maya Fernandez-Powell, alongside Vasyl Malikov, Kharkiv-based program coordinator of Alliance.Global, an LGBTQAI+ organization in Ukraine.

The situation in Ukraine is not just a physical crisis but a growing psychological emergency. Our report highlights the urgent need for comprehensive psychological care and the current challenges in providing these vital services. Through this webinar, we aim to foster a deeper understanding of the situation and encourage support for addressing these needs.

When: February 15th, at 10:00 am to 10:30 am EST (5:00 pm to 5:30 pm Ukraine/EET)
Where: Live on Zoom (with social media coverage)

Join us to understand the deep psychological toll inflicted on the Ukrainian people, from soldiers to civilians, and particularly vulnerable groups like orphans, survivors of violence, the LGBTQAI+ community, and the elderly. You will also have the opportunity to learn about the substantial gaps in mental health services and the dire need for psychological support in Ukraine as well as hear experiences from those living under constant threat of the ongoing Russian war and aggression.
