Following Vice President Biden’s remarks last night supporting release of the Senate Intelligence Committee’s report into CIA torture, Human Rights First President and CEO Elisa Massimino said:
“Vice President Biden couldn’t have been more right when he said, ‘I think the only way you exorcize the demons is you acknowledge what happened, straightforward.’ Knowing all the facts about the CIA’s abuse of prisoners is a step toward ensuring that our country never returns to torture. The Vice President joins a growing, bi-partisan group of leaders calling for the report’s release.”
