Meanwhile, the New York Timesreports that Senator Specter, the ranking Republican on the Senate Judiciary Committee, has joined Democrats in expressing his concern about Mukasey’s testimony. Specter said that the nomination could hinge on Mukasey’s response to a series of questions about Bush Administration policies, including its use of interrogation techniques like waterboarding.
