Project: Afghan Legal Assistance (PALA) at Human Rights First coordinates U.S. legal organizations, law firms, resettlement agencies, and other stakeholders to provide legal representation to Afghan refugees who have arrived in the United States.
PALA supports law firms, non-profit legal organizations, solo practitioners, and law students interested in pro bono representation of Afghan refugees and asylum seekers. We also encourage administrative action by the United States Government for these refugees.
As of November 2024, we have filed over 2,000 unique applications benefiting our Afghan clients – and we have much more work to do. Please join our network of over 1600 pro bono attorneys and advocates help us provide legal assistance to at-risk Afghans. Click the link below to register.
