Times Square Bomber Gets Life

A New York court has sentenced Faisal Shahzad, the Times Square bomber, to life in prison. Contrary to claims by detractors, reading Shahzad his Miranda rights and trying him in federal courts works well. In fact, more than 400 other terrorists have been convicted in our federal court system since 9/11 (compared to 4 in military commissions). It is time to close Guantanamo.
