Statement on Shooting at Tree of Life Synagogue

Washington, D.C.—In response to today’s tragic shooting at the Tree of Life synagogue in Pittsburgh, Human Rights First released the following statement:

Today we mourn for those whose lives were lost in this vile and senseless shooting, and offer our heartfelt condolences to the families and communities affected. Antisemitism, hate, and xenophobia should have no place in the United States. We stand with the Tree of Life congregation, with America’s Jewish community, and with those who shelter refugees. In the wake of this tragedy, we rededicate ourselves to fighting for an America built on tolerance and inclusion.
