Women’s History Month Profile featuring The Honorable Rona Sabawoon

Honor Women’s History Month by joining Human Rights First’s Project: Afghan Legal Assistance (PALA) for an enlightening event on March 30th. This event will feature the Honorable Rona Sabawoon, a former judge on the Supreme Court of Afghanistan.

Judge Sabawoon will share her experiences in Afghanistan, where she worked to defend the rule of law and protect women from violence. She will discuss the challenges faced by female judges and other Afghans under the Taliban government, and the risks they continue to face.
