Private Security Contractor Videos
Blackwater in Najaf Video
On April 4, 2004 a team of security contractors from Blackwater fired on Mahdi Army forces from the Coalition Provisional Authority headquarters in Najaf. The Blackwater guards were fighting alongside three Salvadorian soldiers and four U.S. Marines. During the battle, one of the men on the roof, reportedly a Blackwater guard, filmed parts of the combat, including the arrival of Blackwater helicopters to provide additional ammunition and rescue services.
This video appeared on numerous cites on the Internet. These clips are taken from YouTube:
Aegis Trophy Videos
In October 2006 video clips appeared on the Internet showing private security contractors shooting at Iraqi civilian vehicles outside Baghdad in a series of incidents, which spurred debate on whether contractors were using indiscriminate use of force against civilians.
The video clips originally appeared on an unofficial site for Aegis employees and then disappeared. Rod Stoner, a then-Aegis employee who maintained the website, allegedly published the videos.
The videos posted here are from the website of the British channel More4 News, which interviewed Stoner and ran three stories on the videos. The More4 news reports are available at:
